How can I best introduce my dog to a LickiMat to avoid chewing?

It is important to train your dog to lick the LickiMat.  As the LickiMat is new to your dog, she/he will be looking to you for guidance and training.  Please go to the Dog Start Page.  If you follow a few simple steps, you can ensure your dog gets the maximum benefits from your LickiMat.

How can I best introduce my cat to a LickiMat?

Cats can be very particular.  It is important to leave room around the LickiMat so that your cat can approach it from different angles.  There are some good tips on the Cat Start Page.  

 

ORDERS

Where do you deliver orders from this website?

We currently deliver only in the UK from this site.  For purchases outside the UK, please look at our Shop World pages to find a stockist, retailer or LickiMat online store in your country.

How much is shipping?

For the UK, all orders will incur a flat £4 shipping rate except for gift boxes that are inclusive of shipping costs.  The £4 shipping rate is subsidised and includes tracking to avoid any issues. 

How long will my order take to arrive?

For UK deliveries, shipments normally only take a few days, but please allow up to 5 business days for your order to arrive.  

How do I return a product?

If you have issues with an order, please contact us first before returning your purchase for refund or exchange. For quarantine reasons we are unable to receive food or used items back into Australia.

How much time do I have to return an item?

If you need to return an order we allow you to exchange within 30 days from the date of order.

Can I track my order?

You should receive tracking information approximately 24 hours after your order from Shopify with all shipments after 15/11/2023.  

My order arrived damaged.

Do you have a physical store?

We are the product inventors, designers and manufacturers.  We are LickiMat !  This is our online store, but our range is stocked at many good pet stores worldwide. We go out of our way to support all good pet stores that stock our products.  To find a store near you, please contact us.

I put the wrong shipping address on my order but it’s already been submitted, what do I do?

Contact us as soon as possible to see what we can do.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and PayPal (it does not always work - our apologies in advance).

I’d like to speak to someone – do you have a phone number I can call?

Sure. Please go to our contact form and provide us with your telephone number and we will contact you within 24 hours.  We may well be in a different time zone and the contact form is the best way to start the process.  We are adding a telephone number very soon!

How does LickiMat work?

What is the difference between the models: Soother, Buddy and Playdate?

The natural rubber surface have different designs that suit different types of food and treats. All models are suited to spreads such as peanut butter, yogurt, purees and the like.  The Playdate holds liquids well and is suited chunky foods and small kibble. The Buddy suits mushy foods, wet foods, sardines and the like. The Soother suits wet and liquid foods and juice/gravy.

Do I need to get an Extra Large LickiMat for an Extra Large dog or cat?

No.  The standard LickiMat suits all sized dogs and cats when used as a treat dispenser.  If you want to use the LickiMat as a feeding bowl, the standard LickiMat will be fine for most small to medium dogs and all cats.  We have an Extra Large LickiMat available, please contact us using the contact form to enquire.

Which LickiMat is best for a puppy?

You should pick one of the LickiMat Classic in a LickiMat Keeper.  Remember, puppies can and will chew anything so it is essential to supervise and train your puppy and not leave them alone with a LickiMat until you are comfortable with their interaction - including how they interact with different foods and food types (including frozen LickiMats).  It is also important to match the food types to the correct LickiMat to ensure your puppy gets the most out of the licking experience.

Will LickiMat stop my dog from licking other things?

Treat-infused LickiMats should help your dog reduce undesirable licking.  

How often should I wash my LickiMat?

You should wash your LickiMat after every use, especially if there is any peanut butter left over. The soft LickiMat Classics can be bent under the sink to make washing easier.  More information on washing, cleaning and looking after your LickiMat here.

Can I put my pet’s LickiMat in the dishwasher?

LickiMat Tuff™, Slomo™, Wobble™, Splash™ and Deluxe™ are 100% dishwasher safe in any tray or position. For the Classic LickiMat models, wash by hand with warm soapy water and a brush if required.  Putting the Classic LickiMats in the lower tray of the dishwasher may warp them as they are made from human grade rubber (TPR).  Don't worry too much, they will still be usable!  Please use the Tuff range if you do not want to rinse your LickiMat in the sink.

What happens if I put my LickiMat in the dishwasher?

It depends on your dishwasher.  We do not recommend washing the Classic LickMats in the dishwasher as they are made from natural rubber and the drying cycle heat may warp the mat (it would still be useable).  Some dishwashers and dishwasher cycles are fine with Classic mats, especially in the upper tray.  All LickiMat Tuffs, Slomos, Wobbles, Splash and Slodogs are dishwasher safe.

Can I put my pet’s LickiMat in the microwave?

Yes.  You can warm up food or even cook the food on a LickiMat in the microwave.  LickiMats are made from human grade TPR rubber and are non-toxic.

Can I put my pet’s LickiMat in the freezer?

Yes.  You can freeze treats and food on a LickiMat.  You can stack them in the freezer for convenience.  LickiMats are made from human grade TPR rubber and are non-toxic.

What is LickiMat made of?

LickiMats are made from human grade TPR rubber and are non-toxic.  The LickiMat Tuff and Slomos have a recyclable Polypropylene base that provides support to the soft rubber mat surface.

What can I put on a LickiMat?

Your pet's favourite foods are a start.  There is no limit to what you can experiment with and put on a LickiMat as long as you take care to make sure it is safe for your pet.  Please be careful when using human food to make sure there is nothing harmful.  Foods containing Xylitol must be avoided as they are harmful to pets.  Information on how to get started with the LickiMat is here.  Information on  recipes is here.

How do I become a wholesale customer?

The process is very simple and quick.  Please complete the contact form and someone will call you to set it up.

How long does it take for my wholesale application to be approved?

Most applications are approved the same day.

What are the requirements for wholesale customer?

We would love to hear from you, especially if you are in the pet business or a related business. Most of our trade enquiries are from vets, pet groomers, pet trainers, online store operators, pet stores, specialty gift shops and other retail outlets. How much does shipping cost?

It depends!  Shipping is calculated as per order. We get good shipping rates with Australia Post and other courier services to keep prices low, or you can use your own service provider to pick up.  Our expert logistics team will be happy to work with you to optimise quantities to optimise shipping costs.

Can I pay for my order with PayPal?

We accept payments by VISA, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal (it doesn't always work!), EFT bank transfer (Australian only) and AfterPay.
